Candidate Privacy Policy

As part of the recruitment process, the company (Natural Capital Resources Ltd) collects and processes personal data relating to job candidates. The Company is committed to being transparent about how it collects and uses that data and to meeting its data protection obligations.
What information does the Company collect?
The Company collects a range of information about candidates. This includes;
name, address and contact details, including email address
and telephone number;
details of qualifications, skills, experience and employment
history;
information about current level of remuneration, including
benefit entitlements;
recruitment process; and
information about entitlement to work in the UK.
The company may collect this information in a variety of ways. For example, data might be contained in application forms, CVs, or other forms of assessments, including online tests. Upon offer, the Company may also collect personal data about candidates from third parties, such as references supplied by former employers, information from employment background check providers and information from criminal records checks. Data will be stored in a range of different places, including on the application tracking system, in HR management systems and on other IT systems (including email).
Why does the Company process personal data?
The Company needs to process data to make an informed decision about a candidate's suitability for the position. It may also need to process data to enter into a contract with the successful candidate. In some cases, the Company needs to process data to ensure that it is complying with its legal obligations. For example, it is required to check a successful candidate’s eligibility to work in the UK before employment starts. The Company has a legitimate interest in processing personal data during the recruitment process and for keeping records of the
process. Processing data from candidates allows the Company to manage the recruitment process, assess and confirm the candidate’s suitability for employment and decide to whom to offer a job. The Company may also need to process data from job applicants to respond to and defend against legal claims. The Company will not use data for any purpose other than the recruitment exercise for which the candidate has applied.
Who has access to data?
Personal information of candidates may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes members of the Talent and HR team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, the Company will share your data with third party agencies who provide the Company with talent acquisition services. All profiles will be deleted 3 months following the end of the recruitment campaign, unless the application for employment is successful in which case it will be retained for the duration of employment. If offered a position, the Company will share data with former employers to obtain references for employment background checks.
Your rights
As a data subject, a candidate has a number of rights. You can:
access and obtain a copy of the data on request;
require the Company to change incorrect or incomplete data;
request the Company to delete or stop processing data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing; and object to the processing of the data where the Company is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing.
If the candidate would like to exercise any of these rights they should contact the company’s Recruiter.
candidates are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the Company during the recruitment process. However, if candidates do not provide the information, the Company may not be able to process the candidate’s application properly or at all.
The recruitment processes are not based solely on automated decision-making.
