Senior Product Designer

Location: London, UK (hybrid role 2-days a week onsite)

Role Overview:
We’re now looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our small team.
You’ll be a great match for this role if you’re comfortable as an end-to-end product designer, across research, prototyping, UX, UI, through the whole lifecycle of a product.
As a Product Designer at natcap, you’ll collaborate with product & engineering colleagues to define and create the end-to-end user experience for our customers and Delivery Team, focusing on solving customer problems, saving time, and making complex data intuitive and clear.
What you’ll be responsible for:
You’ll be responsible for the overall user experience for our product suite, including the layout, visual design, and interaction design, and for conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and conducting user testing to gather feedback on designs. You’ll be working on our cross-functional team of scientists, engineers and product management.
This is an opportunity to apply design thinking to the nature crisis in a hugely impactful role that will shape the nature platform that we’re building at natcap.
What your experience looks like:
- You excel at applying user-centred design principles and are able to design product experiences that enable our customers to understand and act on our nature intelligence data
- You have experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing
- You’re good at Figma
- You have experience working in an inherently complex domain and on tools for expert users
- You have experience working with cross-functional teams, with software developers, and can communicate your designs and design rationale effectively
- You have a strong portfolio showcasing your past work and design process
- You are a superb communicator, both written and verbal, and are comfortable collaborating across disciplines. You work to create clarity for others.
- You are happy getting your hands dirty outside of your role or comfort zone if needed.

This role reports to our CTO, Tom. We believe that working from home unlocks huge productivity and collaboration is best in person, so this role is hybrid: we’d like you to be able to come to our office near Farringdon in London at least twice each week.
